The Field Museum of Natural History is one of the largest natural history museums in the world. It was founded in 1893 as the Columbian Museum of Chicago and includes 35 diverse, high-quality, permanent exhibits. More than 140 Field Museum researchers are conducting leading-edge research in its labs and around the globe. On this tour, participants will have a behind-the-scenes look at three different research collections (including fishes, birds, and insects). Additionally, participants will hear about the integrated social-ecological approach to urban conservation taken by researchers in the Keller Science Action Center

After the tour you’ll have some free time to visit the museum on your own before departure back to the hotel.
